Daddy got to come home last Thursday night. I was very happy, Although Stella and I had a great time it was very exhausting with no help at all. Miss Stella has been Teething and quite fussy lately, but the good news is she has a TOOTH and boy is it sharp... I really hope she never bites me while nursing... :(
Friday the 27th Stella turned 6 months old. I can't believe its already been that long. Its bittersweet, I miss her being so small but I love watching her grow and learn new things. She is so interesting and fun to be around. I know for sure that being her mom was exactly what I was meant to do in life. It really is amazing to have so much love for your baby. Nathan and I are so happy to be her parents.
Stella, is now sitting almost completely on her own. She needs assistance being propped up, but she will stay upright for a long time. She also loves to stand, so when shes sitting If were close she wants help standing or she will get up[set She also had her 6 month well baby appointment on Friday. We were so happy that daddy got to go with us. She weighed in a 14lbs 5 oz and was close to 26 inches long. She even had the nurses impressed with her will to sit on the table and not wanting to lay down. It was so funny watching her. She was pulling on the stethoscope and playing with things on the wall. She is definitely a wiggle worm. and not to brag but her nurse says every time we go in that Stella is her favorite baby of them all :) sure makes us happy. She received a great report from her doctor. The not so great part was the three shots she had to get in her legs. She of course hates that part and screams and cries... its heart wrenching. But luckily I can just Nurse her and she usually falls asleep.
We also started solids a few weeks ago. We actually started with rice cereal in her evening bottle around 4 1/2 months and she looked forward to it every day. We started with soft foods at 51/2 months and she is doing so well. We started with Avocados, then sweet peas, sweet potatoes, squash and now were on green beans. Shes going to be a Mommy's girl, and love all vegetables I hope. I also started her on bananas and now were also on pears. I sure owe a big thanks to the Ellen Show for giving us all this yummy foods for Stella.
Shes sleeping pretty well. Yes we still Co-Sleep. Which to be honest before I had Stella I thought I would never have my baby in the bed with me. Obviously that changed. It worked for us so we have continued, plus I love waking up to her smiling face :) But she is doing well in the crib as well. She usually goes down around 7- 8 and sleeps till 11, 12 or even 1 in her crib. Once she wakes I go to her and calm her and try to get her back down and well I bet you can guess... she ends up going to bed with mommy. Thanks to the book The no cry Sleep Solution. I have made peace with the fact that " If you others think something is a problem , and you don't then its not a PROBLEM" it only becomes something you need or want to change when it becomes a problem for you. No problems here, just happy baby and mommy. Daddy is doing well with our bed sharing to now that we upgraded to the California King!!! So comfortable. But I do believe there will be a day when I will have more will power to get her back down in the crib for the remainder of the night... Just not right now :)
Well, its been nice catching up. I hope everyone has a blessed week.
" I wanna take a moment, God.. not to ask for anything, but to Simply say Thank you for all that I have and all that you have blessed us with, we are so very grateful"
